Bob Rue was a New Orleans character featured in Noel Rockmore's 'Homage to the French Quarter', a rug dealer and an artist...in no particular order.
His art career was largely a private affair.
He donated a few of his pieces to the annual WYES charity art auction, but kept the remainder of his body of work to himself.
A large cache of his work was unearthed in the Summer of 2023.
The focus of this site is to illuminate and celebrate the work of this amazing, psychedelic, 'outsider', artist, whose illustrations take the viewer through his lens from the late 1960's through the 1990's.
